New Pick ‘Em Game Style

I have revamped the Pick ‘Em Game. All 2010 season games between two FBS teams are now available for picking. You can enter your picks at any time until midnight the day of the game. This means you can pick the entire season now, if you want. You can make changes or delete your picks at any time.

You can pick as much or as little as you want. A correct pick is worth 1 point. An incorrect pick is worth -1 point. This means you should only pick when you’re sure of your pick.

For the full details and rules, head on over to the Pick ‘Em Game. Make sure you’re logged in to the site, and then just start making your entries.

2010 Pre-Season

2010 Pre-Season polling will begin on August 1. Are you ready?

After a brief discussion in the Official Pollsters Only forum (access restricted), we decided that USC is eligible to be ranked in the BCS Fan Poll.

There will be no prize for the Pick ‘Em game for 2010. You’ll just have to compete for fun. There’s a new style and the entire season is available for picking.

2009 Final Poll Information

Voting has already begun for the final 2009 season poll. The voting booth will remain open until at least Wednesday, January 13, 2009. Official pollsters must vote in this final poll or will lose their status for failing to vote. Official pollsters may vote at any time, and change their vote at any time while remaining official until the booth closes.

Any problems encountered with logging into the forums and staying logged in (see below for the fix) are not related to the voting booth.

I made a change to the forums settings regarding cookies and some folks are having trouble staying logged in. If you delete your cookies for the forums, and then log in, the problem seems to get fixed. So far, this has been reported twice and both users were using FireFox. If you delete you cookies for this website and still have problems, please let me know.

Pick ‘Em Week 14 scored, Week 15 and Bowl Information

Week 14 Pick ‘Em game has been scored. Congratulations to cfbfanatic for willing the week, edging out cagman81 by 1 point. However, for the season, stevenra has a 5 point lead over tsberry56.

For Week 15, there is only 1 game: Army vs. Navy. I’ve loaded it up and this will count. Since this game is worth 5 points, this could evaporate that lead. The entire Bowl Season shall count as 1 week and be available to select the games until the first game starts. Last year, it was brought up that injuries and otherwise may want folks to change their pick for the later games, but with all the games locked, they can’t. However, it’s even for everyone, and the current software doesn’t allow this. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

2009 Week 8 BCSFP Finalized

This first honor challenge of the year against usbummer was started last week and concluded this week, but failed to achieve consensus, closing 9:9:5. Many important issues were brought up during the discussion, but in the end, it was uncertain whether usbummer should lose status over this vote.

On to the poll: Florida regains the #1 spot as the pollsters lose confidence in Alabama moving them down to third. Miami and BYU were the biggest drops after their losses. We welcome Oklahoma, South Carolina, Arizona, and Central Michigan taking the place of South Florida, Texas Tech, Kansas and Nebraska who all fell out of the poll. Seven undefeated teams top the poll. How many will be left at the end of the season?
